Earthworms are awesome wriggly creatures - build a worm habitat so you can observe them
Step 1: You will need two jars, a big one and a small one. Place the small jar inside the big one. This is so your earthworms will not hide in the middle of the jar where you can't see them!
Step 2: Fill your jar with moist dirt from the yard. Potting soil will work too. Leave a couple of inches at the top.
Step 3: Add food for your worms! Worms love veggie and fruit scraps, but avoid things meat and cheese. Cupcake the chi-poo is really wanting the worm food.
Step 4: Place your worms in their new habitat! You can find worms in your garden, flower beds, under deads or logs...just becareful as you explore and dig!
Step 5: Keep your worm habitat in a dark cool place like the garage or a cabinet. After a day or two, take out the jar and observe how much food the worms have eaten!
